
Chiefs Pick Los Angeles Kings Prospect Lukas Parik in Import Draft

The Spokane Chiefs selected goaltender Lukas Parik with the 43rd overall pick in Thursday's 2019 CHL Import Draft.
Parik, a 2001-born netminder from the Czech Republic, was selected in the third round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings. He posted a 2.85 GAA and .917 SV% in 32 games with Bili Tygri Liberec of the Czech Under-19 league, adding four playoff games (3.63 GAA, .903 SV%).
Standing 6-foot-4 and 185 pounds, Parik also played five games with the Czech national under-18 team, earning honors as a top-3 player on the team.
Ranked third among European goalies headed into last weekend's NHL draft, Parik was selected by the Kings with the 87th overall pick.
