Spokane, Wash. - The visiting Tri-City Americans pulled away to defeat the Spokane Chiefs at Spokane Arena on Saturday night, 6-3. Yannick Proske led the Chiefs' offense with two goals and an assist.

The Americans scored quickly - just 56 seconds into regulation - as Jake Sloan punched in his 15th of the season with assists to Sasha Mutala and Alex Serraglio.

Spokane responded to tie it up just after midway through the period when German forward Yannick Proske fired a shot from the right circle past goalie Tomas Suchanek. With the power play goal, Proske became the sixth Chief to reach 10 goals this season.

Tri-City regained the lead at 15:43 when Parker Bell scored unassisted, but the Chiefs' power play struck again with 1:23 left in the period to even things once more. Nick McCarry weaved his way down the left wing before sliding a perfect pass across to Chase Bertholet for the score.

Continuing the back-and-forth theme, veteran Americans forward Sasha Mutala scooped up a rebound just under seven minutes into the second period to make it a 3-2 Tri-City advantage.

The visitors added another on a bouncing puck to make it 4-2 at 16:14 (Tanner Gould), but the Chiefs responded late in the period when Proske tapped in a rebound of a Bear Hughes shot for his second of the night, cutting the Tri-City lead to 4-3 headed into the second intermission.

Mutala added another on a strong drive to the net at 7:19 of the third and Bell sealed it with an empty-netter at 18:35 to reach the final score.

The Chiefs were outshot 32-27 on the night, going 3-for-7 on the power play and 4-for-4 on the penalty kill. They will be back in action Sunday night at Everett.
