SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane Chiefs announced today that, with the help of monetary donations and a silent auction at the annual Red-White Game last month, the organization made a donation of $1,300 to wildfire relief via Catholic Charities Spokane.

"We're very proud to contribute to such an important cause with direct ramifications in our community," Chiefs Vice President of Sponsorships Jay Stewart said. "Catholic Charities does a great job providing help for those affected by the wildfires.

"Thank you to all the Chiefs fans who generously donated and made this possible."

Chiefs fans opened their wallets prior to and during the intrasquad Red-White Game on Aug. 30 to directly help wildfire victims and firefighters throughout the Pacific Northwest. Catholic Charities is onsite manning shelters and providing essential supplies, as well as providing case management and assistance to those needing alternative housing.

General admission tickets to the Chiefs only home preseason game, set for 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19 at Spokane Arena, are now available via the Chiefs' Ticket Office for just $10.
