Peoria Chiefs News Release
Marco Carrillo will make Chiefs debut on mound tomorrow night Peoria, IL - The Peoria Chiefs were shutout 3-0 at the hands of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers Tuesday night at O'Brien Field.
Wisconsin starter Marwin Vega puzzled Chiefs hitters all night. He went seven shutout innings and gave up just four hits as the Rattlers scored all three of their runs in inning number four.
With the game scoreless in the fourth, the Timber Rattlers scored the game's only runs. With one out and runners on first and second, Travis Scott smoked a ball over Davy Gregg's head in centerfield to plate both baserunners. Scott came in to score later on a RBI single by Alex Liddi to make it a 3-0 ballgame. The Chiefs posed really just one threat offensively all night. They had the bases loaded with one out in the third, but Jake Whitesides bounced into an uncharacteristic 1-2-3 double play to end the inning.
Fabien Jimenez went five innings and gave up three runs on nine hits in a losing effort. Jesus Yepez and Roger Evenson each pitched two scoreless innings out of the pen. Vega struck out five during his seven innings of work as he picked up victory number five on the year. Brian Kappel picked up the save firing a flawless ninth.

Alberto Garcia (LF) - Garcia was 1-4 with a triple and a stolen base on the night.
