Burlington Bees News Release

Cedar Rapids, IA (August 29, 2006) Tonight's game between the Burlington Bees and the Cedar Rapids Kernels at Veterans Memorial Stadium was suspended by rain with the teams tied 1-1 and the Bees batting in the top of the second inning. The game will be picked up tomorrow and completed through nine innings followed by a seven-inning game for tomorrow's regularly scheduled contest. RH Rayner Oliveros will take over on the mound when play resumes tomorrow. Due to a short-handed pitching staff, the starting pitcher for game two will be determined based on what happens in the first game.

The completion of the rain suspended game will begin at 6:00, one hour earlier than tomorrow's regularly scheduled game time. All of the action will be broadcast live on KBUR AM 1490 and KBKB AM 1360 with the pre-game show starting at 5:40.
