SAN ANTONIO - Enver Lisin ended Chicago's shutout bid with 34.2 seconds remaining, but the Wolves took a 5-1 decision against the San Antonio Rampage Wednesday night at the AT&T Center.

Lisin connected on the 25th shot of the period for the Rampage, bettering the previous franchise-record of 22 attempts on goal set in December of 2003 at Houston. His marker also came on the power-play, giving the Rampage a goal on the man-advantage in seven of the past eight contests. Joey Tenute stretched his assist streak to three games with a helper.

Chicago opened the game with three goals in the first 11 minutes, eight seconds - with two coming off the stick of Wolves winger Jordan LaVallee - and four total in the first period.

LaVallee put in a backhanded-marker on a give-and-go with teammate Kevin Doell at 6:38 of the first frame. Jason Krog, the AHL's leading scorer with 79 points (27g, 52a), potted the first of his two goals 89 seconds later on a deflection.

LaVallee's second goal of the night came short-handed, when the puck hopped over Josh Tordjman's goalie stick behind the net right to the Chicago left winger.

Defenseman Nathan Oystrick slapped a power-play tally through with 25 seconds left to stretch the Chicago lead to 4-0 before the end of one.

The Rampage came out and dominated the final 40 minutes, outshooting Chicago 40-10, even though both teams netted a goal apiece in the last two periods. The Rampage finished with 44 shots on goal to Chicago's 28.

In the final minute of the middle period, Krog added his second goal with a power-play wrister from the left circle.

Ondrej Pavelec made 43 saves in earning his 24th win of the season, second-most in the American Hockey League. Josh Tordjman stopped 23 shots for the Rampage, and still maintains a solid save-percentage of .928 in his last 17 games played. It was only his second regulation loss of the New Year (9-2-0-3).

The Rampage will host Chicago again at 7 p.m. on Friday night. With a win Friday, the Rampage can move into a tie with Rockford for second-place in the AHL West Division.
