Worcester Sharks News Release
WORCESTER - Worcester Sharks President and CEO Michael T. Lehr announced that the Worcester Sharks have teamed up with Bay State Savings Bank for the 2nd Annual "Evening with the Worcester Sharks" to raise money for the Champions for Children program and Worcester Sharks Charities. The event will be held at Bocado Restaurant in Worcester on Tuesday, March 25th.
In an effort to help enhance the lives of residents through Central Massachusetts, the Worcester Sharks would like to invite you to partner with us by attending the 2nd Annual "Evening with the Worcester Sharks" presented by Bay State Savings Bank. Join Sharks players, executives and Worcester's own former WBA Welterweight Champion Jose Antonio Rivera on Tuesday, March 25th at Bocado Restaurant, located in Downtown Worcester for this unique fundraising event.
All proceeds of the Evening will be donated to the CASA Project, the most recent honoree of Bay State Savings Bank's Champions for Children program, and Worcester Sharks Charities. The CASA Project recruits, screens, trains and supervises community volunteers who are appointed by a judge to advocate for the best interests of children whose families are facing allegations of abuse and neglect. The CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Project serves on care and protection cases in Worcester Juvenile Court and sessions held in the District Courts of Dudley, Milford, Fitchburg and Leominster.
This special evening will include dinner at one of Worcester's outstanding restaurants, a cash bar, and the opportunity to bid on some great sports memorabilia, player experiences, and entertainment packages. Tables of any size can be reserved in 90 minute increments beginning at 5:30pm. Sharks players will serve as honorary waiters and bartenders.
To make a reservation or if you have any questions, please contact Cristin Houlihan at the Worcester Sharks office at 508-929-0500 or visit the following website at:

After a Saturday road game at Albany, Worcester is home once again on Sunday when it hosts the Norfolk Admirals in a rematch of the two teams that were involved in a Feb. 15 brawl.
