Chicago Recalls Brett McLean

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Norfolk Admirals announced today that their parent club, the Chicago Blackhawks, has recalled center Brett McLean.

At the time of his recall, McLean had posted six points (three goals, three assists) in four games to lead Norfolk and place him second in the AHL in scoring.

The Admirals' first home games of the 2003-04 season are Friday, October 17 and Saturday, October 18 versus the Albany River Rats (New Jersey Devils). The puck drops at 7:30 both nights.

Among the activities planned for home opener weekend are a magnetic schedule giveaway to the first 3,000 fans, courtesy of Applebee's, on Friday, and a pre-game tailgate party on Scope's plaza, beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Additionally, Saturday is John Brophy Night. The former Hampton Roads Admirals' head coach will be honored in a ceremony during the game, and the first 5,000 fans will receive a John Brophy bobblehead, courtesy of TradeStaff & Company.

Individual tickets for all of Norfolk's 40 home games of the 2003-04 schedule are on sale now through Scope's Box Office, all TicketMaster outlets, charge-by-phone at (757) 671-8100 an online at www.ticketmaster.com.

2003-04 season tickets as well as 10- and 20-game plans are now on sale.
