Chicago Wolves News Release

The Atlanta Thrashers have assigned Chicago Wolves right wing Anthony Aquino to the Gwinnett Gladiators of the East Coast Hockey League.

Aquino, who did not appear in Chicago's season-opener last Saturday, recorded eight shots in three preseason games with the Wolves.

The 21-year-old concluded his amateur career last season with 10 goals and 19 points in 14 games with the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League. The Mississauga, Ontario, native made his professional debut with the Wolves on March 21 against the Rochester Americans, and finished with four penalty minutes in five regular-season games with Chicago last year.

Aquino was selected by the Dallas Stars with their third pick, 92nd overall, in the 2001 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
