
Checkers recruiting national anthem performers

Charlotte Checkers News Release
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The search for musical talent to perform the National Anthem at home Charlotte Checkers hockey games will take place on Tuesday, October 25th from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on the stage at Wachovia Atrium in uptown Charlotte.
With thirty-six home games in the new Charlotte Bobcats Arena, the Checkers are eager to recruit a variety of Anthem performers of all ages ... inclusive of individual singers, groups or choirs, and/or instrumental renditions.
Candidates should bring a brief resume of musical background and be prepared to sing or play the National Anthem a cappella. The traditional version is preferred.
Tryouts will be conducted first-come, first-served. Wachovia Atrium is located at 301 So. Tryon Street on the main level of Two Wachovia Center.
