
Stingrays extend radio deal with Kirkman Broadcasting

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC-The South Carolina Stingrays announced today that they have signed a three year extension with Kirkman Broadcasting that will keep Stingrays hockey on the Kirkman network until 2010. The Rays had two years remaining on their first five year agreement with the radio network.
The majority of the Stingrays broadcasts will be heard on 910 AM The Team, with some of the contests being simulcast on 950 AM. Monday night hockey will remain on 910AM.
"This is a tremendous agreement for the Stingrays and our fans," commented Director of Broadcasting Darren Abbott. "This franchise is committed to keeping its fans up to date with all the action home and away. The relationship with Kirkman Broadcasting has been outstanding and will continue to be so for the rest of the decade."
The Stingrays broadcast all 72 regular season games and playoff contests on the radio and on stingrayshockey.com. Monday night hockey will kick off this season's broadcast schedule on October 17th at 6:00 live from Bobby Hartin's Sports Grill on Sam Rittenberg Blvd.
