Charlotte Checkers News Release
Charlotte, NC - Friday, October 17, 2003) - The Hartford Wolf Pack assigned right wing Brandon Cullen to the Checkers, and Charlotte also signed left wing Dave Inman. The moves are announced today by Checkers Head Coach & General Manager Don MacAdam. Both players had solid seasons with the Checkers as rookies last season, and come to Charlotte at a great time with a few players hobbled with injuries. Both will be in the lineup Saturday night when the Checkers host the Gwinnett Gladiators in Charlotte's Home Opener at Cricket Arena at 7:30 p.m.
Cullen had an outstanding training camp with the Wolf Pack prior to his assignment to the Checkers. After a slow start last season as a rookie, Cullen caught fire and was playing his best hockey until an injury in late February sidelined him for the rest ! of the season. He finished the season with 13 goals and 16 goals for 29 points with 202 penalty minutes in 58 games. Cullen is under an AHL contract with the Hartford Wolf Pack.
Inman began last season with Hartford before being signed by the Checkers on December 13. Inman started this season in the Detroit Red Wings training camp.
