Charlotte Checkers News Release
CHARLOTTE, NC - The Charlotte Checkers, in conjunction with the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority, today announced the various food and drink options that will be available at the renovated Bojangles' Coliseum this season.
Beginning with the Checkers' first home game on Saturday, Nov. 7, fans can enjoy choices from five anchor stands, a full-service club restaurant and other various outlets located throughout the concourse.
One of the anchor stands will exclusively feature food from Queen City Q, a local restaurant with locations in uptown Charlotte, Matthews and an upcoming location in Concord that will offer its famous pulled pork barbecue, brisket and signature sides. Another stand will include food from Newk's Eatery and Johnsonville all-beef hotdogs. The Local Tap will offer the coliseum's signature "Red Line Chili" as well as local craft beers. Kelly's East Side Diner, a venue named after Charlotte hockey legend Pat Kelly, will feature burgers, fries and onion rings. Finally, a Bojangles' Chicken and Biscuits location will provide Cajun Chicken sandwiches, seasoned fries, Supremes and legendary Sweet Tea.
The Red Line Club restaurant located on the lower level will offer a signature Palmetto Burger made of grass-fed beef and topped with house-made pimento cheese, pickled tomatoes and smoked bacon jam and served with a side of extra napkins. The restaurant, which Checkers players will walk though when traveling between their locker room and the ice surface, will also feature a chef's corner with an Italian, Southern or Asian special of the evening as well as cocktails, draught Bud Light beer and wine.
Other destinations located in the concourse will include offerings from Boquete Mountain Coffee, a local roaster located in Charlotte's NoDa district, and Beer & Brats stands featuring Johnsonville products. Dippin' Dots, cotton candy, ice cream, fresh baked Bavarian pretzels, popcorn and draught and bottled Bud Light beer will also be available.
Individual tickets for all 38 Checkers home games are on sale now via Ticketmaster and the Bojangles' Coliseum box office. For information on season tickets, mini plans and group outings, contact the Checkers at (704) 342-4423 or visit gocheckers.com.
