This week:

The Wolf Pack have a busy slate of three home games in this second week of the regular season. The Providence Bruins visit the XL Center on "Winning Wednesday" for a 7:00 game, and then it's the first-ever meeting between the Pack and the Utica Comets on Saturday night at 7:00. The Wolf Pack's weekend finishes with a 5:00 Sunday game vs. the Syracuse Crunch.

Wednesday, October 14 vs. the Providence Bruins (Boston) at the XL Center, 7:00 p.m.

- Once again this season, all Wolf Pack Wednesday night home games are "Winning Wednesdays". If the Pack win this game, each fan can get a free ticket to the Pack's home game this Saturday night vs. the Utica Comets (some restrictions apply).

- This is the first of eight meetings on the season between the Wolf Pack and Bruins, and Providence's first of four trips to the XL Center. The two clubs clashed four times last season, with the Wolf Pack taking the last three after a 4-1 loss November 21 in Providence in the season series opener. The Wolf Pack held the Bruins without a goal in the two games at the XL Center, winning 1-0 on January 21 and 5-0 March 27.

- Hartford and Providence had their fifth all-time playoff matchup in the first round this past spring, and it was a classic. The Wolf Pack won the best-of-five set with an overtime victory at home in Game Five, with defenseman Tommy Hughes netting the series-winner.

- With the AHL's realignment this summer, the Wolf Pack and Bruins are back to being divisional rivals, both playing out of the Atlantic Division. That is after the Pack spent the last four years in the Northeast Division.

- The Bruins played two home games on their opening weekend and gained three out of a possible four points. Head Coach Bruce Cassidy's club lost 2-1 in overtime Friday night vs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and then defeated Portland Saturday night by a score of 6-4.

- Frank Vatrano, a rookie out of U. Mass-Amherst, exploded for five goals in Providence's first two games, including a four-goal performance in Saturday's Bruin win over Portland.

- Tickets for this and all 2015-16 Wolf Pack home games are on sale now at the Agera Energy Ticket Office at the XL Center, on-line at www.hartfordwolfpack.com and by phone at (877) 522-8499. Tickets purchased in advance for kids 12 or younger have been reduced to $10 this season, and all tickets will have a $2 day-of-game increase.

Saturday, October 17 vs. the Utica Comets (Vancouver) at the XL Center, 7:00 p.m.

- This will be the first time for the Wolf Pack and Comets, the top affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, to clash in the Comets' three-year history.

- The Comets went all the way to the Calder Cup Finals in 2014-15, falling in five games to the Manchester Monarchs. In the regular season, Head Coach Travis Green's Utica team went 47-20-7-2 for 103 points, tops in the Western Conference and second only to the Monarchs' 109 points overall.

- The last time the Wolf Pack took on a Vancouver affiliate was in 2008-09, when the Pack went 1-2-0-1 in a four-game season series against the Manitoba Moose.

- The Comets opened their 2015-16 season Saturday night at Rochester, dropping a 2-1 decision to the Americans. Nicklas Jensen scored the only goal in that game for Utica, which outshot Rochester 39-22, and Joe Cannata made 20 saves in the Comet net.

- Utica's leading returning scorer from last season's Calder Cup-finalist team is winger Alexandre Grenier, who had 17-26-43 in 67 games for the Comets in 2014-15.

- Before this game, fans can stop by the 2015 NBC Connecticut Health & Wellness Festival at the XL Center.

Sunday, October 18 vs. the Syracuse Crunch (Tampa Bay) at the XL Center, 5:00 p.m.

- This is the first of 11 Sunday home games on the year for the Wolf Pack, and Sundays will once again feature the Wolf Pack's "Click It or Ticket Family Value Pack". The Family Value Pack includes two tickets, two sodas and two hot dogs, all for just $35.

- Fans can again stop by the 2015 NBC Connecticut Health & Wellness Festival at the XL Center prior to this game.

- The Wolf Pack and Crunch met eight times last season as Northeast Division rivals, but are in separate divisions in this 2015-16 campaign, the Pack in the Atlantic and Syracuse in the North, and will play one another only twice. Hartford went 3-5-0-0 vs. the Crunch last season, and the two clubs split four meetings at the XL Center.

- The Crunch won its season opener Saturday at Lehigh Valley, nipping the Phantoms 4-3. Former Connecticut Whale Jonathan Marchessault, who was the leading point-scorer (24-43-67 in 68 GP) for the 41-25-10-0 (92 points, three points behind the division-champion Wolf Pack in the Northeast) Crunch last season, led the way with a pair of goals.

- Tickets for this and all 2015-16 Wolf Pack home games are on sale now at the Agera Energy Ticket Office at the XL Center, on-line at www.hartfordwolfpack.com and by phone at (877) 522-8499.
