Syracuse Crunch Announce Details for 22nd Home Opener October 17

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse Crunch have announced the details for their 22nd Home Opener presented by Upstate University Hospital on Saturday, Oct. 17 when the team hosts the Binghamton Senators at 7 p.m.

The Crunch home opener will begin with a Party on the Plaza presented by ESPN Radio and TK99 on the Everson Museum Plaza from 5 to 7 p.m. Fans will have the opportunity to get autographs and take photos with scratched Crunch players, along with trying their skills out at street hockey. Brent Axe will also be on-air live. Attendees may purchase food and drinks from Shatuck's Paddy Wagon and Big D's BBQ food trucks.

All fans in attendance for the home opener will receive a schedule poster, courtesy of Upstate University Hospital.

The game will be highlighted by an opening ceremony featuring nurses from Upstate University Hospital. The Crunch will honor nurses as they accompany the team onto the ice during player introductions. To show additional appreciation for all area nurses, any nurse who calls the Crunch office at 315-473-4444 using the code "NURSE" or shows his or her badge at the War Memorial Arena Box Office will be able to purchase $18 tickets for Oct. 17.

Additionally, ESPY Award winner and former NFL player Devon Still will participate in the opening ceremony and drop the ceremonial first puck. He will also be available for autographs in Memorial Hall during the first period.

The Crunch will offer VIP experiences with Still prior to the home opener on Oct. 17. Package A, priced at $250, includes ten (10) tickets to the game and ten (10) passes to a VIP meet and greet with Devon Still in Assembly Hall from 6:15 to 6:50 p.m. Package B is $150 and includes six (6) tickets to the game and six (6) passes to the VIP meet and greet. The Syracuse Crunch 2015-16 home opener is Saturday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. Single game and season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased either in person at the Crunch Box Office located in the War Memorial on 800 South State Street in Syracuse or by calling the office at 315-473-4444.
