BUFFALO, N.Y. (October 12, 2015) --- The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled defenseman Jake McCabe from the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League (AHL).
McCabe (6'0", 214 lbs., 10/12/1993) joins the Sabres for his first recall of the 2015-16 season. A native of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, McCabe has one assist in nine career games with Buffalo.
Drafted by the Sabres in the second round (44th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft, McCabe led all Amerks rookies and finished sixth among AHL rookie defensemen with 29 points (5+24) in 57 games last season.
