
Charlotte To Face Hershey In East Division Semi-finals

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte Checkers, in conjunction with the American Hockey League, announced that the team will face the Hershey Bears in the first round of the Calder Cup Playoffs beginning Thursday, April 14 in Hershey, Pa.
Charlotte clinched third place in the East Division on Friday with a 2-1 win over the Worcester Sharks, while the Bears took second place. The series will take on a 2-3-2 format, with the first Charlotte home game taking place Tuesday, April 19.
The schedule for the 2011 East Division Semi-Finals is as follows:
Game 1: Thursday, April 14 at Hershey, 7:00 p.m. Game 2: Sunday, April 17 at Hershey, 5:00 p.m. Game 3: Tuesday, April 19 at Charlotte, 7:00 p.m. - Time Warner Cable Arena Game 4: Wednesday, April 20 at Charlotte, 7:00 p.m. - Time Warner Cable Arena *Game 5: Friday, April 22 at Charlotte, 7:00 p.m. - Time Warner Cable Arena *Game 6: Sunday, April 24 at Hershey, 5:00 p.m. *Game 7: Monday, April 25 at Hershey, 7:00 p.m.
