
Bears to face Charlotte in East Division Semi-Final

HERSHEY - The HERSHEY BEARS announced today in conjunction with the American Hockey League that the club will face the Charlotte Checkers in the 2011 East Division Semi-Finals. The announcement was made today by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.
The BEARS have clinched second place in the East Division, and home ice advantage for the East Division Semi-Finals. Charlotte clinched third place on Friday with a 2-1 win over the Worcester Sharks at Time Warner Cable Arena. The series will feature a 2-3-2 format, with the series to begin with two home games at Giant Center Thursday, April 14 and Sunday, April 17.
Tickets for Game 1 and Game 2 at GIANT Center are on sale now at the GIANT Center box office or by phone at (717) 534-3911. The appearance marks HERSHEY'S sixth straight Calder Cup playoff appearance, winning three Calder Cup titles in that span.
