The Canton Charge, presented by SecureData 365 and powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, have reacquired guard Jorge Gutierrez and waived forward Travis McKie, the team announced today.

Gutierrez (6'3", 195, California) returns to the Charge following the completion of a second 10-day contract with the Milwaukee Bucks on February 17th. In seven games with Milwaukee (one start), he averaged 3.6 points on .526 shooting with 2.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 0.6 steals in 13.4 minutes per game.

Before receiving a call-up with Milwaukee on January 28th, Gutierrez played in six games (five starts) with Canton, averaging 15.2 points on .456 shooting with 5.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.8 steals in 35.7 minutes per game. Gutierrez began the season with the Brooklyn Nets before being traded to the Philadelphia 76ers and waived on December 12th.

McKie (6'7", 220, Wake Forest) played in four games this season with Canton and averaged 3.8 points on .462 shooting with 2.5 rebounds in 11.8 minutes per game. The Charge roster now stands at 11 with 10 active players and one on the inactive list.

The Charge are back on the road this weekend beginning with a matchup against the Erie BayHawks (Orlando Magic affiliate) on Friday, March 6th at 7:00 p.m. Canton is back home at the Civic Center on Saturday, March 14th against the Sioux Falls Skyforce (Miami Heat affiliate) for Family Day featuring Mascot Mania!
