
Charge Hold on for Eighth Straight Win

CLEVELAND, OH - The Cleveland Charge (8-1) held on to win their eighth straight game in a 111-107 victory over the Capital City Go-Go (8-4) at CSU's Wolstein Center on Sunday afternoon.
Cleveland was led by a trio of 20+ point scorers, with Isaiah Mobley netting a game-high 26 points on 9-of-14 from the field with eight rebounds in 36 minutes. Sharife Cooper scored 22 points on 9-of-16 shooting with nine assists in 33 minutes. Mamadi Diakite had 20 points on 8-of-13 from the field with five rebounds in 36 minutes. Jamorko Pickett came off the bench to provide a spark of 18 points, six boards, two steals and two blocks in 35 minutes of relief for Cleveland.
Capital City was paced by Jordan Goodwin's 20 points with seven rebounds and two steals in 33 minutes. Trevion Williams and Quenton Jackson each scored 15 points for the Go-Go. Trailing by 17 to begin the fourth quarter, Capital City was able to pull within two points at 104-102 with 1:03 left in the game. The Charge scored on their final three possessions to hold on to the lead and stay undefeated in 2023. The Charge will next host a back-to-back set against the College Park Skyhawks (Atlanta Hawks) beginning on Tuesday, January 24th at 6:00 p.m.!
