MONTREAL - In a seventh consecutive home win (all competitions) and all by shutout, CF Montréal defeated Minnesota United FC 4-0 at Stade Saputo on Saturday night.
Striker Mason Toye, making his first start since April 1, opened the scoring against his former club in the seventh minute.
Montreal then doubled its lead six minutes later thanks to Zachary Brault-Guillard's first goal of the season, completing a long-range pass from Gabriele Corbo.
Toye then completed his brace in the 57th minute, before Rudy Camacho scored the fourth goal of the night on a cross from Bryce Duke (76').
The team will be on break next week before resuming its season on Wednesday, June 21, against Nashville SC at Stade Saputo at 7:30pm (Apple MLS Season Pass, RDS, TSN, BPM Sports, TSN 690).
MATCH NOTES
-Zachary Brault-Guillard and Mathieu Choinière earned their 60th career starts with CF Montréal.
-Mason Toye scored his 10th and 11th regular-season goals for the Club.
-Jonathan Sirois made four saves to earn his sixth shutout of the regular season.
