Washington, D.C. (June 19, 2006) - D.C. United announced today individual tickets for its July 12 international friendly against the Scottish Premier League champion Celtic FC are now available. Individual game tickets, priced at $30, $40, $50 and $60, may be purchased at all TicketMaster locations, online at
"Following the international excitement surrounding the World Cup, it is a pleasure to put on a game pitting two such high profile clubs," said United Sr. Vice President Stephen Zack. "This is likely United's one international game this season and will prove to be a special event."
A team with a long-standing history, Celtic FC won the Scottish League for the 2005-06 season while amassing 91 points. Since the club's founding in 1888, Celtic has been a stronghold in the Scottish League as this win marks the 40th time that the club has been champion of the League. The current squad boasts high-profile players such as Scottish defender Stephen McManus, Japanese midfielder Shunsuke Nakamura and Polish forward Maciej Zurawski.
