HOUSTON, TX- (Monday, June 19, 2006) - Houston Dynamo returned to its winning ways on Saturday, defeating Real Salt Lake, 2-1, at Robertson Stadium.

Houston Dynamo scored at the 36th minute, courtesy of Brian Mullan's first goal of the season. Mullan scored after a missed penalty kick by Ronald Cerritos, with a strong cross to the far post. At the 83rd minute, it was Alejandro Moreno who scored the second goal of the night, and his second of the year, off a great cross by Mullan. This was also Mullan's third assist of the year.

With this much needed victory, the second in the last three games, the Dynamo continue to hold the second spot in the Western Conference, with 21 points. Houston will not play at home again until Tuesday, July 4, when the Columbus Crew come to town.

WHAT'S NEXT?

Houston Dynamo (6-3-3) will embark on a two-game road trip against Western Conference foes. First up, is a visit to MLS Cup Champions LA Galaxy (2-10-2) on Saturday, June 24, at 7:30 p.m., C.T. Houston beat the Galaxy 2-1 in their first game against each other on June 3. This game can be seen locally on Fox Sports Southwest. The last game of the trip will be on Wednesday, June 28, against Chivas USA (5-5-1), also in Los Angeles. The game is also scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m., C.T.

WAY TO GO, WONDO!

Houston Dynamo midfielder Chris Wondolowski is on fire! "Wondo" scored all three goals of the Dynamo's reserves 3-1 win over Real Salt Lake. His goals came at the 14th minute (assisted by Marcus Storey), 18th minute (unassisted), and 53rd minute (assisted by Julian Nash). Wondolowski now leads all Houston Dynamo reserve players with 6 goals in 5 Reserve League games played.

HOUSTON DYNAMO IN THE COMMUNITY

On Thursday, June 22, from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. Brian Mullan will be at the 15th Annual Great Grown-Up Spelling Bee at The Kinkaid School, 201 Kinkaid School Drive, Houston, TX 77024. He will be there to meet and greet the participants.

On Saturday, June 24th, from 12 to 1:30 p.m., Mike Chabala will make an appearance at the Community Health Choice event, located at the Centro Familiar Cristano, 11000 Dairy Ashford, Sugar Land, TX 77478. There, he will sign autographs, and meet and greet those who assist.

On Saturday, July 1st, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Dwayne De Rosario and Stuart Holden will be at Performance SAAB, located at 10505 Southwest Freeway. Both players will be talking soccer and signing autographs for Performance SAAB.

KINNEAR'S CONVERSATION

Houston Dynamo head coach Dominic Kinnear will be answering fans' questions every week of the 2006 season via the Houston Dynamo web site, www.houstondynamo.com. Fans can submit questions by navigating to the "Fans" section of the website, and clicking on the link "Kinnear's Conversation" on the right hand side of the page. Selected questions will be answered in an online article every Thursday.

Houston Dynamo Coach Dominic Kinnear will be this week's guest on ESPN 790 AM's Dynamo Power Hour, which will air on Monday, June 19, 2006, at 7:00 p.m. Coach Kinnear will discuss the teams' performance in their match against Real Salt Lake, and the upcoming contests against the Los Angeles Galaxy and Chivas USA.

TV Informa 43's "Dynamo TV", is your best source for Dynamo-related news and information. The show airs Tuesday, May 30; from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. Danny Gonzalez and Mirko Castillo will talk about Houston Dynamo's performance against Real Salt Lake last Saturday, and the upcoming match against the Los Angeles Galaxy.

Radio Concierto 101.7 FM's "La Hora del Dynamo" gives you one full hour of everything you need to know about the Houston Dynamo. Hosted by Dagoberto Puello, Daniel Mejia, Hector Lopez, and Ricardo Palacio, the show features interviews and in-depth coverage of anything and everything related to the Dynamo. The show airs every Friday, from 8 to 9 p.m.

Alex Soler has the Dynamo covered. Every Thursday, from 9:00 to 10: 00 a.m., he gives in-depth coverage of the team in his show "Cadena Deportiva", which airs on KYST 920 AM. This Thursday, Soler will have information related to the World Cup and Major League Soccer, as well as live interviews with directors of local soccer leagues. On Sunday, it's "La Media Hora del Dynamo" in La Tremenda 1010 AM, from 7:30 to 8:00 a.m. On this show, Alex talks about the previous night's game, featuring interviews with the Dynamo's outstanding player of the game and in-depth analysis of the game.
