
Carolina Hurricanes Assign Goalie To Wranglers

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers® announced today the team has received goaltender Daniel Manzato from the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes.
The 23-year old is expected to be in net this weekend when Las Vegas visits the Phoenix RoadRunners on Saturday and Sunday. After starting the season in Charlotte, Carolina recalled the netminder and reassigned him to Las Vegas. In two games with the Checkers, Manzato was 2-0-0 with a 2.00 goals against average and a .947 save percentage. Manzato was drafted by the Hurricanes in the fifth round (#160 overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. The Swiss netminder played the last four seasons in the Swiss-A league, compiling a 67-59-14 record with a 2.94 goals against average. Prior to his time in Europe, Manzato played three seasons of junior hockey with the QMJHL's (Quebec Major Junior Hockey League) Victoriaville Tigers. During his time in Victoriaville, Manzato posted a 50-39-7 record with a 3.45 goals against average.
The Wranglers embark on a five-game road trip before returning home to host the Phoenix RoadRunners on Tuesday, November 20th at 7:05 pm. Las Vegas will play in Phoenix on Saturday, November 10th at 6:11 pm (PST).

The Wranglers play all 36 home games at the Orleans Arena, located at the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Avenue.
