Huntsville, AL --- Steffan Wilson hit a solo homer in the seventh inning to snap a scoreless game, leading the Huntsville Stars to a 1-0 victory over the Carolina Mudcats at Joe Davis Stadium on Sunday night.

Carolina (16-20) entered the game riding a modest two-game winning streak, flying to Huntsville on Sunday morning and sending Justin Lehr to the mound for his first appearance since July 8th. Lehr, activated from the disabled list before the game, matched Wily Peralta (W, 9-6) through his five innings. Lehr permitted three hits and a walk, while Peralta surrendered just one hit and struck out nine over seven innings.

With the game still 0-0 in the seventh, Wilson drilled a 2-0 pitch from Clayton Shunick (L, 0-1) over the left field wall to give the Stars (17-19) a 1-0 lead. Lucas Luetge and Rob Wooten (S, 6) combined to pitch the final two innings to close down the win.

The Mudcats managed just two hits in the game, a single by Eric Campbell in the second inning, and a bad-hop single by Quintin Berry in the eighth.

Carolina's 10-game road trip continues on Monday night with Pedro Villarreal starting against Kyle Heckathorn at 7:43 PM ET.
