Pitchers Fausto Carmona and Travis Foley were added to the Buffalo Bisons roster today. Carmona was optioned from the Cleveland Indians while Foley was promoted from Double-A Akron.

Carmona, 22, began the season with the Herd and was the team's Opening Day starter. He was promoted to Cleveland on April 15 after just two starts with Buffalo (0-1, 4.50ERA, 10.0IP, 8H, 7R, 5ER, BB, 9K). Carmona won his first start with the Indians, making his Major League debut on April 15 in Detroit (6.0IP, 5H, R, ER, 2BB, 4K). He then lost his next two starts to finish 1-2 with a 7.94ERA (17.0IP, 21H, 15R, 15ER, 6BB, 10K).

Carmona pitched in 13 games for the Bisons in 2005, going 7-4 with a 3.25ERA in 83.0 innings pitched. He was also with the team late in 2004, winning both his starts in the International League playoffs that year.

Foley, 23, began the season with the Double-A Akron Aeros. In seven games and 16.1 innings of work, Foley was 0-1 with a 2.20ERA and 15 strikeouts. The Cleveland Indians #4 selection in the June, 2001 Draft, Foley was 6-2 with a 3.86ERA and one save in 36 games with Akron in 2005.

Foley made his Triple-A debut in this morning's 6-2 loss to the Charlotte Knights at Dunn Tire Park. Foley pitched 2.1 innings, allowing two runs on two hits.
