BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Tied at one in the bottom of the ninth, RF Omar De Los Santos came home to score on a wild pitch to propel the Brooklyn Cyclones to their fourth-straight win, 2-1.

With the victory, Brooklyn nabbed four of six contests this week against the Renegades. Chris Newell's squad is also a perfect 3-0 to start the second half of the 2023 campaign.

Sunday's victory saw not one but two players make MLB rehab assignment appearances for Brooklyn. LHP José Quintana logged four strong frames for the 'Clones, allowing just one run on two hits with five strikeouts and a walk. The only Renegades run came on a solo shot from 2B Ben Cowles in the fourth.

After Quintana departed, the southpaw was replaced by RHP Elieser Hernández, also on an MLB rehab assignment. The former Miami Marlin tossed one clean inning, allowing just one hit while striking out two.

Down by one, Brooklyn pulled even in the fifth. After 2B D'Andre Smith walked to start the frame, LF Jaylen Palmer scorched a double off the left-center field wall to put men on second and third with nobody out. From there, C Drake Osborn scorched a sacrifice fly to deep left field, plating Smith, to tie the game.

Neither team could scratch across a run after that until the bottom of the ninth. De Los Santos led the frame off with a bunt single, then proceeded to steal both second and third base, still with nobody out.

The Renegades proceeded to induce a strike out and a fly out, but De Los Santos proceeded to take home on a wild pitch and walk it off. With the win, Brooklyn now has recorded a walk-off win in each of its home series so far this year.

The Cyclones return to action on Wednesday night after two off days. Brooklyn welcomes the Jersey Shore BlueClaws to Maimonides Park for a six-game set. No probable pitchers have been named as of Sunday.
