Grand Prairie, TX- Returning the favor from Friday night's 17-4 loss, the Shreveport-Bossier Captains put together a 16-hit, 14-run offensive against the Grand Prairie AirHogs for a 14-3 win in the second game of the series.

After a lead-off walk by Bryan Sabatella in the first inning, Dwayne White hit a bloop single to left, followed by a Christopher Garcia line drive single to center to score Sabatella from 2nd. After another walk and hit-by-pitch, Luis Guance hit a slow roller to 1st, where it was picked up by Javier Brito who tagged the base and threw home but not in time as Garcia came across to score. With the score at 3-0, and runners on 2nd and 3rd, with only one out, Jose Cordero was brought in replace starter Steve MacFarland. Jonathan Reynoso squeaked a single past an "infield-in" scenario, scoring Andres Rodriguez and putting runners on the corners. Kevin Griffin rolled a grounder to first, but Javier Brito came up throwing to homeplate and JB Tucker held on for the tag out as Torres blasted into him. With two outs, and runners at 1st and 2nd, Angelo Fermin flew out to center to end the inning.

Grand Prairie responded with two-hit, two-run bottom half of the inning when Javier Brito smoked an opposite-field double along the right field line scoring two runners. The ‘Hogs would go hitless until another Brito base-hit in the 6th followed by a 9th inning Jonathan Dziomba solo homerun in the bottom of the ninth to expire the game with only five AirHogs hits on night. Brito put together the only multi-hit game, going 3-4.

The Captains line-up responded with two more runs in the third, when Chris Garcia led off with a single to left. He then advanced to 2nd on a wild pitch and was scored by a Jose Torres double. Torres, who stole third, was brought home by a Reynoso infield single deep in the hole at shortstop, to half the score at 6-3.

The fourth inning produced the damage when Dwayne White's double to right center was followed by a Chris Garcia single to score White from second base. Garcia advanced to 2nd on a wild pitch and was brought home by a Jose Torres base-hit to centerfield. Luis Guance followed suit with another double to score Torres, before Reynoso singled to left scoring Guance. Reynoso would advance to second on a wild pitch and score on an infield error at first base, to widen the run-gap to a 9-2.

The Captains put hatched three more runs on three hits in the sixth and seventh innings before the game expired with a final score of 14-3. Five Captains put together multi-hit games with Garcia (4-6, 2 RBI), Torres (3-3, 3 RBI), and Reynoso (3-5, 2 RBI) at the helm of the pirate ship. Starter Ronald Lowe allowed only three hits and two runs in six full innings of work to grab his sixth win of the season.
