A night after the Captains and Airhogs played one lopsided affair, they switched places and authored another. After dropping Friday's game 17-4, Shreveport-Bossier answered back with a 14-3 win over Grand Prairie on Saturday night. The Captains tallied 16 hits including four from 1B Chris Garcia who drove in two runs and scored twice. DH Jose Torres added three hits, three RBI, and three runs scored while CF Jonathan Reynoso finished 3-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored. Starter Ronald Lowe pitched six innings for Shreveport-Bossier and got the win to up his mark to 6-9.

With two outs in the bottom of the ninth, Fort Worth 1B John Allen singled and 3B Michael Bell launched a two-run game winning homer to left field that gave the Cats a 3-2 win over Wichita. Other than the dramatic finish, offense was scarce in a game that featured fine pitching from both sides and moved along at a rapid pace. Joel Kirsten pitched seven strong innings for Ft. Worth, allowing just one earned run on three hits while striking out four. Brad Davis countered for the Wingnuts by completing six innings and surrendering just one run on four hits. 3B Michael Thompson had half of Wichita's hits in the game as he went 3-for-3 with a RBI and a run scored. The game took just two hours and five minutes to complete.
