Captains Begin Six-Game Home Stand Thursday

(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, will begin the home portion of the second half of the season as the West Michigan Whitecaps (Tigers) and Fort Wayne Tin Caps (Padres) visit Classic Park for two three-game series beginning on Thursday.

All fans in attendance for the Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sundays games will receive entry forms to submit into a drawing for a free two-year lease on a Chevy Cruze that will take place on Sunday courtesy of Classic Chevrolet and the Chevy Network. Children under 18 will receive an entry form that their parents or guardians may submit for a chance to win. Fans 18-years-old and older may submit entries during Sunday's game and the winner must be in attendance on Sunday to win. For complete details, visit CaptainsBaseball.com.

Thursday is Thirsty Thursday, presented by ESPN 850 WKNR and will feature a .25-cent beer Happy Hour for one hour before game time and half-price draft beer and fountain soda until 9 PM. Thursday is also Date Night, presented by Fisher's Jewelers at Shoregate, which gives couples the opportunity to purchase two tickets to The Officer's Club Suite and two meal vouchers, a $56 value, for only $30. Game time is 7 PM.

Friday's game starts at 7 PM and is a Fireworks Friday Night presented by State Farm Insurance Agent Mary Anne Hurley and 92.3 FM, The Fan. Friday is a special edition of Ladies Night where ladies can purchase tickets that include drink specials and great raffle items. Macy's, Tanlines, Silpada Designs Jewelry and Jamberry Nails will have displays in the concourse.

Saturday is a Fireworks Saturday Night presented by Monreal Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Fans will be treated to a post-game fireworks extravaganza and it is Ladies Night, presented by Malibu Rum, featuring Malibu Rum drink specials for the ladies.

The Captains will be wearing special jerseys on Saturday that were designed by Willoughby native Joshua McKinley who was the runner-up of season 9 of Project Runway - the hit reality TV show from Lifetime Television hosted by supermodel Heidi Klum. The game-worn jerseys will be autographed by the Captains players and coaches and auctioned off with proceeds benefiting OROC (OutRun Ovarian Cancer) and Captains Charities.

"Pride Night" is Saturday and the Captains will celebrate a night of equality with the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) community at Classic Park. Game time is 7 PM.

Sunday's game time has been changed to 7 PM and will feature a post-game Fireworks extravaganza. Matt and the future Nikky Lundi will be getting married in a pre-game, on-field wedding ceremony as part of the Captains annual Bridal Show. The Bridal show will feature a "Vendor Village" highlighting numerous local vendors with displays in the left field picnic area. All fans in attendance will have the chance to win great prizes provided by the vendors.

As always, Sunday is a Family Fun Day and will feature a pre-game player autograph session, expanded in-stadium entertainment and activities, an enhanced Kids' Zone area and the opportunity for kids to run the bases after the game.

The home stand continues on Monday at 7 PM with Buck Night, presented by PNC, featuring $1 Five Star Brand Hot Dogs, chips, French fries, popcorn, soda and beer. Also, fans receive a $1 discount on their tickets or $2 off their tickets if they use a PNC Bank debit or credit card.

Monday is a Faith Night, presented by 95.5 FM the FISH. There will be a pre-game concert featuring Journey Worship beginning at 5:45 PM and a post-game Testimony of Faith provided by Captains outfielder Jordan Smith.

The home stand concludes Tuesday with Bark in the Park Night, presented by Home Savings. Dog owners can bring their dogs to the park when they purchase a $5 pooch pass. A portion of the proceeds from the pooch passes will benefit Lake Humane Society & Adoption Center. Dog owners can purchase their tickets for a special $7 price.

There will be a special Fireworks extravaganza following the Tuesday, July 3 game beginning at 7 PM, at Classic Park as a prelude to the 4th of July holiday. This is annually one of the biggest fireworks shows of the year following a Captains game.
