
Caps Fall in Regular Season Finale, Turn Focus to Playoffs

The Madison Capitols fell 4-2 to the Green Bay Gamblers tonight to wrap up the regular season with a winning record of 30-29-3-0. The Caps will now turn their to focus to their postseason series with the Youngstown Phantoms which gets underway on Monday night.
Tyler Haskins netted the Caps lone goals this evening in the 2nd and 3rd periods. He tipped a puck into a yawning cage just as the Caps first power play expired at 4:39 of the 2nd frame. Later in the 3rd on the power play, Haskins put a shot in on net out front and followed it up with his own rebound for his 20th goal of the season. The Michigan commit tallied his 12th multi-point game of the season. Madison's 3rd ranked power play went one-for-four on the evening.
The Caps will begin their 2021-22 playoff campaign in a best of three series on the road against the Youngstown Phantoms on Monday night.
