Canucks Re-Assign Sauve to Moose

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced today they have re-assigned defenceman Yann Sauve to the Moose.

Sauve, 21, has appeared in 31 games this season with the Moose recording nine points (2g, 7a) and 12 penalty minutes. He recently scored his first professional goal while with the Moose on Mar. 5/11 vs. Milwaukee. Since then, Sauve has recorded five points (2g, 3a) in six games. The rookie defenceman is currently on a three-game assist streak with Manitoba. Sauve began the season in the ECHL with the Victoria Salmon Kings and made his AHL debut with Manitoba on Dec. 16/10.

Sauve was originally drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the second round, 41st overall, of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
