Canned Food Drive Night as Rivermen Host Wolves

The Peoria Rivermen will face off with the Chicago Wolves tonight at 7 pm at Carver Arena on Canned Food Drive Night to benefit the Friendship House. It's also Coca-Cola 2-for-$22 night!

Anyone who brings in a donation of non-perishable food items to tonight's game will receive a free voucher to the December 11 game against the defending Calder Cup Champion Hamilton Bulldogs. Everyone is asked to please help in feeding the less fortunate during this difficult time of year.

The Wolves head into town with a 2-0 lead in the season series after a 2-1 win at home back on Wednesday night. Chicago leading scorer Jesse Schultz has three of his team's six goals in two games against Peoria, and the Wolves will receive a boost with the return of goaltender Fred Brathwaite to the lineup this evening after missing several games on personal leave.

For Peoria, Chris Beckford-Tseu was strong in net, stopping 23-of-25 shots on Wednesday night to mark his first AHL start this season. A familiar name to Rivermen faithful, Beckford-Tseu was leading the ECHL in wins and was ranked in the top five for goals against average and save percentage before being recalled from the Alaska Aces earlier in the week.

Tonight's game is also Peoria's last home game in November. The team will return to Carver Arena on Friday, December 7 against the Quad City Flames on Teddy Bear Toss Night!

Fans are invited to head down early and check out the live broadcast of the Doc & Kotter Show, airing from 5-6:30 pm in the Lexus Club Room at the Peoria Civic Center on 96.5 ESPN Radio. The show will segue over to the Rivermen Pre-Game Show starting at 6:30 pm.
