
Worcester Sharks call up two from ECHL

WORCESTER, MA - San Jose Sharks Vice President and Assistant General Manager Wayne Thomas has announced that the Worcester Sharks have signed Center Daniel Sisca and Forward Brady Leisenring to professional tryout contracts on Friday.
Sisca, of the Phoenix RoadRunners (ECHL) was the CCM TACKS ECHL Player of the Month for October.
The 5-foot-9 and 160-pound Sisca had four goals, two power-play goals, one game-winning goal, one shorthand goal, four assists and a plus-minus rating of +4 as the RoadRunners went 3-2-0. Sisca has 15 points (4-11-15) through 13 games at the time of his call up to the Worcester Sharks.
The native of Woodbridge, Ontario played in Italy last season with Milan where he had 24 points (9g-15a) and 26 penalty minutes in 32 regular season games and two points (1g-1a) and 14 penalty minutes in nine playoff games.
The 24 year old played for the Florida Everblades in 2005-06 and was selected to ECHL All-Star Game and the ECHL All-Rookie Team after finishing second among league rookies and tied for seventh overall with 79 points (29g-50a) in 71 regular season games. He also played in the Kelly Cup Playoffs for the Everblades and had four points (2g-2a) and 12 penalty minutes in seven games.
Leisenring, of the Fresno Falcons (ECHL), split last season between the Falcons and the Sharks. Brady recorded five points (2-3-5) through 24 games last season with the Sharks.
The 5-foot-11 and 190 pound Leisenring had nine points (2-7-9) through nine games with the Falcons at the time of his call up. Leisenring attended the Worcester Sharks training camp before the start of the season.
The 25 year old is a native of Stowe, VT and played his collegiate hockey at the University of Vermont.
The Sharks travel to Manchester on Friday at 7:05 pm before returning to the DCU Center on Saturday, November 24th to square off with the Providence Bruins. The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive a free Thomas Greiss Bobblehead courtesy of WTAG.
