Candiens Reassign Delmas to Wheeling

WHEELING, WV- The Wheeling Nailers, proud ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Montreal Canadiens, have announced a transaction, taking place immediately. The Montreal Canadiens have reassigned goaltender Peter Delmas to the Nailers from the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs, following a quick two-day stint in the American Hockey League.
Delmas, 22, is currently in the midst of his third season with the Nailers, and to this point in the season, has posted a record above .500 for the third consecutive campaign. Peter has appeared in 79 career games with Wheeling, posting a 42-26-8 record, while also recording seven shutouts. The 42 victories place him third in team history, while the seven shutouts place him in a tie for second. Thus far this season, the Bedford, NS native has gone 9-6-3 with the Nailers, to go along with a 2.40 goals against average, a .910 save percentage, and one shutout. Delmas was also named Reebok ECHL Goaltender of the Week for the week of January 24-30, 2013. Peter has appeared in nine AHL contests with Hamilton over the course of the three years.
Delmas rejoins the Nailers in Greenville, where they will wrap up the South Division portion of their schedule on Monday afternoon at 1:05.
