Calgary, AB - Calgary Roughnecks General Manager Kurt Silcott announced today that veteran goalie Curtis Palidwor was selected by the New York team (4th Round) and Forward Callum Crawford was selected by the Chicago Shamrocks (5th Round) in the 2006 Expansion Draft.

Palidwor,33, a 4 year veteran of the Roughnecks played in 16 regular season games, posting an 8 - 5 record with a 10.69 GAA as well as a .791 save percentage. The New Westminster, British Columbia native was acquired by the Roughnecks in 2002 from the Columbus Landsharks in exchange for the rights to defender Jeff Frazier and a conditional draft pick in the 2003 NLL Entry Draft.

Crawford, 22, appeared in 5 games last season for the Roughnecks posting 8 points (4 goals, 4 assists) and collected 13 loose balls. The 6-foot-2, 190lbs native of Ottawa, Ontario was selected by the Roughnecks in the 2nd round of the 2005 NLL Entry Draft.

"Obviously we are sorry to see these players go. Curtis did a great job here in Calgary, including leading the team to a Championship in 2004 and Callum had shown great promise as a future offensive right-hander. But, you have to lose players in expansion and we wish Curtis and Callum the best of luck wherever they end up," said Roughnecks General Manager Kurt Silcott. "Luckily for us we have the depth to sustain these losses with players like Andrew Leyshon and Ryan Avery in goal and a talented young right-hander in Jamie Rooney to fill these vacancies. We will now get on with concentrating on shaping the Calgary Roughnecks for the 2007 season and trying to build the strongest team possible for the upcoming season."
