Two Stealth players selected in expansion draft

SAN JOSE - San Jose Stealth General Manager Johnny Mouradian announced today that the organization has lost veteran goaltender Brandon Miller to the Chicago Shamrox and forward Jarett Park to the to-be-named New York team in the 2006 National Lacrosse League Expansion Draft.
Miller, a six year NLL veteran, played in six games for the Stealth last season, compiling a 0-4 record, while posting an 11.45 goals-against average as well as a .745 save percentage. The Orangeville, Ontario native was selected number one overall in the expansion draft after registering 514 saves over his six year NLL career. Once Miller was selected, the Stealth were allowed to pull back one of their unprotected players, choosing to protect goaltender Matt Vinc.
"Part of the process with expansion is each team is going to lose two valuable ball players," said Mouradian. "Obviously when your player is selected first overall, you know you've lost a good player. With Anthony Cosmo and Matt Vinc, we still feel our goaltending is strong."
Park, selected 12th overall in the expansion draft, enjoyed a fine rookie year with the Stealth in 2006. The six-foot-two, 205-pound forward registered 12 points (six goals, six assists) in 10 games, while also scooping 41 loose balls.
"Park is an up and coming player in this league," said Mouradian. "We wish both Brandon and Jarett nothing but the best of luck in the upcoming year with their new clubs."
