
Calgary Hitmen Rally To Beat Kootenay Ice 7-2

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen scored seven unanswered goals to beat the Kootenay Ice 7-2 Wednesday afternoon at the Pengrowth Saddledome.
Brandon Kozun led the way with four points (1g 3a) for the Hitmen who overcame a 2-0 first period deficit.
Ian Schultz, Kris Foucault, Michael Stone, Matt MacKenzie, Misha Fisenko and Cody Sylvester also scored while Joel Broda and Justin Kirsch each had two assists.
Hitmen special teams played a major role in the win as Calgary went 3-6 on the powerplay while the penalty kill went 7-7.
Michael Snider made 32 saves in the Hitmen net to record the win.
Calgary is now 17-6 this season. They lead the Central Division but trail the Saskatoon Blades by one point for first overall.
The Hitmen will enjoy a one day break before hosting the Medicine Hat Tigers Friday night. Game time is 7:00 p.m. at the Pengrowth Saddledome.
