
Blades Move Up One Spot In CHL Rankings

The Saskatoon Blades are ranked sixth in latest instalment of the BMO CHL MasterCard Top 10 Rankings which were released on Wednesday.
The Blades have played three games since last week's rankings, where the team was seventh in the country. Last Wednesday, the Bridge City Bunch came away with a 2-1 victory over the Swift Current Broncos. On Friday, the team fell 4-3 to the Regina Pats in a shootout. The week wrapped up with a 4-3 shootout victory by the Blades over the Prince Albert Raiders.
The weekly rankings of the Canadian Hockey League's Top 10 teams are selected by a panel of National Hockey League scouts.
The Blades are next in action on Friday night with a visit to the Brandon Wheat Kings. The game can be heard live on 92.9 The Bull with Les Lazaruk.
On Saturday, the Prince George Cougars are town for a matchup at Credit Union Centre. Game time is 7:05 pm. Tickets are available online at ticketmaster.ca, by calling 938-7800, or by visiting any Ticketmaster outlet. Saturday's game marks the second edition of the Home Depot "Around the World Contest" during the second intermission. Contestants will be vying to move on to the next round in hopes of winning tickets to the 2010 World Junior Hockey Championships.
