Calgary Hitmen Extend Winning Streak To Four Games

Chilliwack, BC - The Calgary Hitmen extended their winning streak to four games Saturday afternoon with a 6-3 victory in Chilliwack over the Bruins.

Brandon Kozun had a career high five points (2g 3a) in the win to push his season total to a Western Hockey League leading 61 points.

Joel Broda (1g 3a) and Michael Stone (4a) each had four point games while Ian Schultz (2g) and Cody Beach also scored for Calgary. For Beach it was his first goal in the WHL.

Calgary Flames prospect Ryan Howse scored two of the three Chilliwack goals in the loss.

The Hitmen win, coupled with the Saskatoon Blades 5-1 loss in Red Deer has moved Calgary two points ahead of the Blades for number one overall.

The Hitmen, 23-8-1-0, will wrap up their six game road trip Friday night when they head to Cranbrook to take on the Kootenay Ice. Their next home game goes the following night (Saturday, December 12) when they welcome the Medicine Hat Tigers. Game time is 7:00 p.m. at the Pengrowth Saddledome.
