Byron Froese Assigned to Cyclones

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that forward Byron Froese (FRAISE) has been reassigned to the club by the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

Froese, a third-year pro, had appeared in 28 games this season for the Rockford IceHogs (AHL) and collected five assists. A year ago, the 2009 fourth round pick of the Chicago Blackhawks, finished seventh on the Toledo Walleye in scoring with 33 points (12 goals, 21 assists) in 38 games. He also contributed with six tallies (2 goals, 4 assists) as-many Kelly Cup Playoff games against Cincinnati. Froese also saw action in the AHL with Rockford, earning a pair of assists in nine tilts. Collectively as a pro, he has posted 52 points (17 goals, 35 assists) in 135 games. He played his amateur hockey in the WHL with Everett and Red Deer, notching 199 points (91 goals, 108 assists) in 212 contests.

Froese is expected to make his Cincinnati debut tonight as the Cyclones close out their weekend road trip tonight in Toledo at 7:15pm. Fans can hear all of the action on the Cyclones Radio Network (CyclonesHockey.com, America One, Cyclones Mobile App) beginning at 6:45pm.
