BUFFALO, N.Y. - Andy Burns belted a three-run home run in the bottom of the sixth to put his team in front and the Buffalo Bisons kept adding on to the lead en route to a 9-3 victory over the Indianapolis Indians on Tuesday night.

Pedro Florimon staked the Indians (58-60) out to an early lead when he opened the game with his fourth home run of the year.

The Bisons (58-59) would tie the game in the bottom of the third when A.J. Jimenez lifted a home run to left-center field.

Burns connected for his game-changing home run with one out in the sixth. Junior Lake began the rally with a walk, and Domonic Brown lined a single to setup the three-run blast.

Buffalo starter Scott Copeland (1-1) settled down after Florimon's lead-off home run, and he retired 13 batters in a row between the second and sixth frames. He earned his first win of the season in his fourth start for the Bisons.

Steven Brault (2-5) had pitched out of trouble in the second, fourth, and fifth frames, but Burns' home run in the sixth chased him from the game. He would be handed the loss.

The Indians offense would mount a pair of rallies in the seventh and eighth innings, but Buffalo added two in the bottom of the seventh and three more in the eighth to salt the lead.

The loss marked the fourth consecutive defeat for the Tribe who now trail first-place Columbus by 8.0 games in the International League's West Division.

The Tribe is in the midst of a six-game road trip, and game two is set for Wednesday against Buffalo at 7:05 p.m. Right-hander Trevor Williams (7-5, 2.98) will start for Indianapolis.
