
Bulls Win Back-To-Back Games, Take Down Condors, 4-2

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The San Francisco Bulls used third-period goals from Sacha Guimond and Dylan King to defeat the Bakersfield Condors, 4-2, Tuesday night at Rabobank Arena. The win was the Bulls' second in a row and third in four games. They snapped an eight-game losing streak and jumped into sixth place in the Western Conference. Peter Sivak and Guimond each recorded a goal and two assists in the win. Thomas Heemskerk earned his fifth of the season, stopping 16 of 18 shots.
For the third time in four games, the Bulls scored the first goal. Sivak tallied his fourth goal of the season on a rebound at 5:37 of the first period. Marek Viedensky and Guimond assisted on the power-play goal. Alex Hudson evened the game at one on a shorthanded tally with 8:03 remaining in the first period. The shots were 6-6 after one period.
In the second period, Ryan Annesley scored at 7:45 to put Bakersfield up 2-1. With 11 seconds remaining in the second period, Dean Ouellet fired a one-timer on the power play for his team-leading sixth goal of the season. Guimond and Sivak earned the assists on the tying tally. The Bulls led 16-13 through two periods of play.
The Bulls continued with their run of strong third-period play, scoring twice. Guimond scored the eventual game-winner at 8:33 on the power play for a 3-2 Bulls advantage. Sivak and Justin Bowers earned the assists. Dylan King put the game out of reach with an empty-net goal with 16 seconds remaining.
On Friday, the Bulls host the Ontario Reign for a Food Drive and Player Tote Bag Giveaway, courtesy of Seton Medical Center and The San Francisco Examiner. Bring a canned food item to the arena to receive a 2-for-1 coupon to the game. The first 1,000 fans, 13 and over, receive a player tote bag. On Saturday, it's a Toy Drive, presented by the SF Firefighters Local 798, and a Team Photo Giveaway, courtesy of Stayingahead.com. Bring in a new and unwrapped toy to the arena to receive a 2-for-1 coupon to the game. The first 5,000 fans in attendance receive a team poster. The puck drops at 7:15 on Friday and Saturday.
BULLETINS: The Bulls out-shot their opponent for the fourth consecutive game (26-18)...The Bulls have out-shot their opponents 8-3 in the third period the last four games...The three power-play goals were the most by the Bulls in a single game...Sacha Guimond scored his team-leading fourth power-play goal of the season.
