Jerseys Unveiled for 2013 ECHL All-Star Game

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL, in conjunction with the Colorado Eagles, unveiled the jerseys for the 2013 ECHL All-Star Week, presented by CCM, during the first intermission Wednesday's Eagles' game against Florida.

The 2013 ECHL All-Star Week begins on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, with the ECHL All-Star Skills Competition, presented by OtterBox . The 2013 ECHL All-Star Game, presented by University of Colorado Health, takes place on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013. Both events begin at 7:05 p.m. MT at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colo.

The ECHL All-Stars jersey is white with blue, red and gold trim, with three gold stars across the bottom and features the 2013 ECHL All-Star Game logo on the front and a shoulder patch featuring the ECHL's 25th Anniversary logo. The Colorado jersey is blue with white, red and gold trim, with three red stars across the bottom and features the Eagles' logo on the front and a shoulder patch featuring the All-Star Game logo. The Skills Competition jerseys will feature each player's individual team logo on the front. The jerseys for both teams are designed by Reebok Hockey.

The Colorado Eagles, the City of Loveland and the Budweiser Events Center will host the 20th ECHL All-Star Game, presented by University of Colorado Health, on Jan. 23, 2013. The Eagles, who are celebrating their 10th Anniversary season in 2012-13, have sold out over 350 consecutive regular season and postseason games, which is a minor pro hockey record.

Ten coaches and 55 players from the All-Star Game have advanced to the National Hockey League. The annual midseason showcase is attended by representatives from the National Hockey League and the American Hockey League and there have been 38 players who have gone on to play in the NHL since 2002 when the lineups began having players who coaches felt were prospects to move up to a higher level.

The past nine ECHL All-Star Games have generated more than $1 million each for the local economy as guests, players, coaches and fans occupy hundreds of hotel rooms and spend three days in the host city.

The game has been available on live television the last nine years and the audio broadcast has been carried on XM Satellite Radio as well as being available in all ECHL markets.
