San Francisco Bulls News Release

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Christian Ouellet scored two goals, but the San Francisco Bulls (24-35-1-6) were defeated by the Utah Grizzlies (26-29-4-8), 6-2, Sunday afternoon at the Cow Palace. Jordan Clendenning had four points (one goal, three assists) in his second game against his former team in another game that featured many familiar faces for both teams. The loss snapped the Bulls' three-game winning streak, but the Bulls are still in prime position to clinch a spot in the Kelley Cup Playoffs.

The Bulls took an early 1-0 lead in the first period on the power play with Ryan Howse in the box for holding the stick. Ouellet scored his 16th goal of the season with a shot that went off the post and past Ben Meisner. The power-play goal was assisted by Mikael Tam and Simon Danis-Pepin at 3:12.

C. Ouellet struck for his second goal of the afternoon at 8:15 of the second period. Ouellet and Kory Falite broke away from the pack on a two-on-one rush down the ice. Falite fed Ouellet with a beautiful pass for a finish over the glove of Meisner. Utah answered with 7:31 remaining in the period on Colin Vock's 25th goal of the season. Jimmy Martin picked up the only assist on the goal to cut San Francisco's advantage in half. Clendenning victimized his former team to tie the game with 2:50 remaining in the second period. Clendenning scored on the power play for his seventh goal of the season. Adam Estoclet and Vock picked up the assists. Vock scored with 50 seconds remaining in the period to give Utah their first lead of the game. Vock's second goal of the game was unassisted.

Utah extended their lead to 4-2 on a goal scored only 28 seconds into the third period. Estoclet scored his eighth goal of the season. Clendenning and Alex Tuckerman picked up the assists. Tommy Grant was given a five minute major, and a game misconduct for elbowing, leaving the Bulls short a man for five minutes. David Eddy scored twice on the extended power play to give Utah a 6-2 lead. Clendenning and Nick Tuzzolino assisted on the first goal. Howse and Clendenning picked up the assists on the second goal.
