CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The Charleston RiverDogs fell 5-2 to the Asheville Tourists despite not allowing a run after the first inning, Sunday evening in front of 4,934 fans and four-legged friends at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park.

Asheville (24-33) sent all nine batters to the plate in the first. RiverDogs (28-29) starter Jordan Foley walked the first three men he faced to open the game before Josh Fuentes drove in two runs with a single to right. Max White followed with another RBI single to right. After Wes Rogers was hit by a pitch, Sean Dwyer drew a bases-loaded walk to increase Asheville's lead to 4-0.

Foley exited the game before getting an out in the first, he faced seven batters before Joey Maher was called in from the bullpen after Dwyer's walk. The righty threw two pitches to get three outs. Robbie Perkins grounded into a double play that brought home one more run and then Emerson Jimenez lined out to end the inning.

The RiverDogs scored their first run in the fourth. Angel Aguilar led off the inning with a double, stole third base, and then came home on an errant pickoff throw by the catcher Perkins. In the ninth, back-to-back singles by Chris Breen and Vince Conde set the table for Charleston. Collin Slaybaugh and Austin Aune grounded into fielder's choices to score Breen. Conde went 2-for-4 and extended his hitting streak to 10 games.

Maher, Caleb Frare, and Dillon McNamara combined to get all of the game's 27 outs without allowing a run and faced just 28 hitters. Foley (1-2) lost his first game since coming off the Disabled List on May 26. He had not allowed a run in his two starts since then.
