Green Bay Rockers News Release

Wisconsin Rapids, WI. - The Green Bay Bullfrogs head to Wisconsin Rapids for game one of a home-and-home two game series against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters on Saturday night. Green Bay, who suffered a tough shut-out loss on Friday night, will look to stay alive in a tight South Division playoff race.

The Bullfrogs had just four hits in Friday night's ball game against the Kalamazoo Growlers. Green Bay got a quality start from pitcher Zac Westcott (Nova Southeastern) allowing just two runs over seven innings. The Bullfrogs offense couldn't get anything going against Growler starter Ryan Smoyer (Notre Dame) who went the distance against the Bullfrogs, allowing just four hits while striking out nine in a complete game shut-out.

Making his eight start for the Bullfrogs on Saturday night, and his first against Wisconsin Rapids, will be Mike Ellenbest (Saginaw Valley State). The six-foot-four freshman owns a 3-3 record and a 5.00 ERA. All three wins for Ellenbest have come on the road. In his last outing, Ellenbest picked up the win allowing just one earned run on four hits over six solid innings in Madison.

On the hill for the Rafters will be Carlos Rosales (Valley City State). Rosales, making just his second start of the year, struggled last week in a loss against Chinooks. Rosales allowed seven runs on seven hits, over just four innings. With an ERA of 5.10 and a record of 0-1, Rosales is looking to pick up his first win of the season on Saturday evening.

First pitch from Witter Field in Wisconsin Rapids is scheduled for 6:05 p.m.
