Kalamazoo, Mich. - Nine hits and three errors by the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters helped the Green Bay Bullfrogs defeat the Rafters on Saturday night in Wisconsin Rapids by a score of 8-3.

Down 3-2, the Bullfrogs took the lead for good in the fifth inning. Green Bay scored four runs, three of which were unearned, to pull ahead 6-3. Brian Celsi (California) had an RBI double that scored Kyle Lewis (Sierra College) for the only earned run of the inning. Ivan Vieitez (Lenoir-Rhyne) also had a sacrifice fly in the frame that scored Ryan Howell (Chabot).

All three of Wisconsin Rapids runs were scored in the first inning thanks in part to Clark Eagan (Arkansas) who doubled home Zack Domingues (Long Beach State). Eagan finished the game 2-for-4 while Domingues went 1-for-3 for Wisconsin Rapids.

The Bullfrogs got on the scoreboard for the first time in the third inning with a Celsi solo home run. It was Celsi's second home run of the season. Howell scored later in the same inning on a Paul Jacobson (South Dakota State) sacrifice fly.

Celsi led the Bullfrogs offensively on Saturday night, going 3-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored.

Mike Ellenbest (Saginaw Valley State) picked up his fourth win of the season for the Bullfrogs on Saturday night. Ellenbest allowed three runs (one earned) on eight hits over five innings of work. Ethan Rosebeck (Pima CC) came on in relief throwing two no-hit innings while striking out three for Green Bay.

Carlos Rosales (Valley City State) suffered the loss for the Rafters. Rosales lasted four and one-third innings, allowing six runs on six hits while walking three.

The Bullfrogs and Rafters will finish their home-and-home series on Sunday night in Green Bay. First pitch is scheduled for 5:05 p.m. from Joannes Stadium.
