BULLDOGS TOP MARLIES 2-1 IN OT Pateryn scores winner 4:38 into overtime HAMILTON, ONT. - Hamilton Bulldogs defenceman Greg Pateryn scored 4:38 into overtime to lift the 'Dogs (7-8-2-0) past the Toronto Marlies (5-9-2-0) 2-1 on Friday evening at FirstOntario Centre.

After a scoreless first period, Marlies forward David Booth opened the scoring on the power play at 11:42 of the second period with a strange bounce that trickled past Bulldogs goaltender Mike Condon. Defenceman Korbinian Holzer and forward Greg McKegg drew assists.

Hamilton forward Charles Hudon evened the score at 4:33 of the third period on the power play with a slap shot from the point. Forward T.J. Hensick drew the only assist.

After a scoreless third period, Pateryn hammered home the game winner 4:38 into overtime to seal the game for the 'Dogs, 2-1. Hensick had the only assist.

Condon made 22 saves on 23 shots for the Bulldogs in the win, while Christopher Gibson stopped 29 of 31 shots faced for the Marlies in the loss.

Hamilton went 1-for-3 on the power play, while Toronto was 1-for-5 with a man advantage.

The Bulldogs will be back in action on Sunday, Nov. 23 when they'll visit the Toronto Marlies at Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto, Ont. at 3 p.m. The 'Dogs return home to FirstOntario Centre on Saturday, Nov. 29 when they'll host the Lake Erie Monsters at 7 p.m.
