Bulldogs Rally to Tie Phantoms, 4-4

The Hamilton Bulldogs came from behind and erased a two-goal deficit in the second period to tie the Philadelphia Phantoms 4-4 at the First Union Spectrum in Philadelphia on Friday night.

The Bulldogs gained one point from the contest and now have an AHL best 85 points on the season. Hamilton's record now stands at 38 wins, 8 losses, 5 ties and 4 overtime losses.

Scoring for the Bulldogs on Friday night were Tony Salmelainen (2), Jason Ward and Donald Audette. Ward's marker was his team leading fourth shorthanded goal of the season. Audette's goal was his first with the Bulldogs.

Philadelphia had goals from four different scorers including; Peter White, Mike Siklenka, Guillaume Lefebvre and Mark Grieg.

In goal Eric Fichaud stopped 33 of the 37 shots he faced on the night for the Bulldogs. Neil Little made 36 saves for the Phantoms.

The Bulldogs are still looking for their first overtime victory as they have earned five ties and four losses in nine overtime games this season.

The Hamilton Bulldogs next action will take place on Tuesday, February 11th as they host the Rochester Americans at Copps Coliseum. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
